Babies are precious!

One of the young ladies that I work with just had a baby girl and I decided to make her a card tonight to go along with her gift. I have seen the bib card around but can't remember where I had seen it first. I did add my own flair just copied the concept. I will post my early start on Christmas Cards a little later this week. I hope everyone is doing wonderful and enjoying the nice air condition with stamps during this hot summer. If you need more supplies check out the link to my online store. For the month of July Stampin Up is offering a deal of the week for the four weeks and this week is a special price on the scallop edge punch. The first person that goes to my online store and leaves me a comment here with the price will recieve some blog candy from me. If you place an order and leave me a comment you will recieve one of our retired stamp sets along with the blog candy....remember it's the first one to leave me the price of the scallop punch deal of the week!

Hope to be sending a package soon!

This card I made after getting my new little flowers in one of my shipments and just had to play. Then I decided to give it to my neighbor to lift her spirits. I have found that I am actually letting go of my cards. I really like to see or hear about how others enjoy the cards. After all isn't that what we make them is so hard for me to get rid of some of them.

One more post and then off to bed.

Summer Time Birthday!

As I was uploading my pictures I found this card that I made for a friend of my son. She was having a swimming party and I thought I might create a card to go with her theme. I hope you all enjoy it! Made me think of the times when I was little and went camping and we would carry everything down to the beach and then back. Why didn't we ever think to take a wagon?

I have been absent....

I'm sorry I have been away so long. I got promoted at my current job means that I have added hours and several hours at home dedicated to my training. I plan on getting some paper and stamps out and posting some items tonight or tomorrow. Please keep me in mind if you don't have a demonstrator, because I would love to be there for you. My dream is to one day to make this my full time job. I really want to have the best job ever and that is me being creative and showing others how to be creative.

Hopefully back soon with new projects!

I joined a yahoo group and they have some wonderful challenges and people there! They are getting ready to a blog tour of the stamp sets in the new mini catalog so keep coming pack for the chance to go on tour around the world without ever leaving the comfort of your chair. It is somewhere near the 20th of April so please keep checking back and I may have some blog candy available around that time as well!!!

The challenge was to create a project with 3-D flowers and I enjoyed breaking out a couple of my older stamp sets for this one.

Last but not least!

I have seen this little guy on several blogs so I don't know who to give the credit to but it is a loveley little fellow. I enjoyed making this card yesterday with my mother and I hope you all enjoy the punched owl as much as I do.

Envelope Technique

At the meeting this month another of the new family showed us how to make this lovely envelop card. I need to take another picture of it unassembled so you get a better idea of exactly what it is, but in short I will describe it to you. You seal the envelope. Then cut 1 1/4" off one end. Stamp the front and back of the larger piece (or both top and bottom). Then put your larger piece through the paper crimper. Take your 1" circle punch and punch a half circle in the middle of the larger portion at the top. Then you cut a piece to fit inside the envelope and decorate and make your front. Maybe I will update later with the new picture.
Have a wonderful day!

My Cased Money Holder and Easter Basket

I am uploading several projects that I have done the last few weeks. I started working a new job and haven't had as much time that I would like. So, I made the time to make things and work with my products and try to find things that I could make at workshops.

I found a wonderful blog that she not only posts wonderful projects but she makes a video showing how to make them. I love her blog Dawns Stamping Thoughts. I cased her money holder and put a few more stars on and added coloring in the words Rock Star on the front. I think it made it pop out. I only had white ribbon so I dragged the white across the color of ink I used and tried making it look more coordinated.

I also cased the Easter Basket made from a 6x6 piece of DSP and made a pen to match it.

Hope you enjoy!

Shaving Cream Technique

I went to my first meeting as a demonstrator at my uplines house the same day I had my workshop introducing that I was now signed up. Well, I really loved the techniques that were shown and the neat stuff I seen. Then my upline, Carol, sent out a request for technique volunteers. My new eagerness stepped up and said that I would. I surfed the net and looked for something that would be fun. I found the shaving cream technique and thought about Easter being right around the corner and how those swirls would look really nice on some dyed eggs. We decided on the 3x3 for the night of our meeting.

In Rustic Rooster Color

Today has been a great day for me. I got my first online order. As a new Stampin' Up Demonstrator it makes me realize how much the internet can help someone just starting
their business. I was checking out splitcoast and found these wonderful rooster note books on mathteach's gallery and decided I needed to make them. I got the note books a few days ago and time kept me from making them and then I got my new pattern pak hostess set of paper in yesterday and decided to make them tonight with each color. There is Basic Grey, Garden Green, Apricot Appealing, Brocade Blue, and Regal Rose(I used the Rose Red ink pad on the regal rose color.) So, not only did I get my first online order I made five 4 1/2 inch notebooks too!
Here is a link to see the one's that I lifted this idea from. Thanks!

Rustic Rooster Friend

I recieved an order today and was so happy and excited I had to come up with
a card tonight. It is 1:20 in the morning now and here I sit finished and ready
to let everyone see my rustic rooster friend. I used the Rustic Rooster stamp set along with the friend stamp from A Little Somethin stamp set. I also used the Delicate Dots DSP and the ribbon bundle from sale-a-bration.
I am hoping that this card might help get some interest in having a camp or event.
If anyone reads this and has any ideas on how a demonstrator can get customers when they don't know too many people I would appreciate any advice.

Just Froggy CS213

Well, today I woke up to more snow and ice. The kids are home and I'm home from work so I wanted to bring warmth to my day and dreamed of summer time while I made this card. I loved it while it lasted. I already sent the card out the door to a friend that asked her friend that was out in all this in his 4x4 truck to go to the store for me. So, when he dropped off the groceries at my house, I gave him one of my cards as a thank you and sent the one I made today to give to her. It may not look all that bad, but there is like 4-5 in. of snow on top of a bunch of ice. This is the front of my house.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Serene Friendship CC203

Today was color combo day and the colors were: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, and Garden Green. I though to myself..."How am I going to make these colors work?" I could see the blues but not the green. I went and got a few of my stampsets out and realized I wanted to play with my new one that I hadn't ever used before. With the green grass the green was easy to accent with. Here I made two butterflies from the Priceless SU set and used the Tres Chic background and the Serene Spring set. I then added the sparkling flowers and studs. The best part is trying to use the blender pen on my vocal point. I love this set now. Can't wait to see what tomorrows challenge brings me.

Pleated MERCI

Here is my card for the technique challenge yesterday. I found out that the storm was hitting and decided to go for it. I didn't have to go in to work today and probably won't go tomorrow. All the ice is still coming down here in southern Illinois. The technique was paper pleating and many people done some fabulous work with theirs, but I'm happy with mine. I pleated two seperate pieces of paper to make this dress and then took pre-made flowers for the feet and a 1in circle for the face and the scallop for hair. I drew the face on and done a double pop-up un her head and stamped my "Merci" in the left corner.

Be My Key

Be My Key came from the challenge SC212 and I had fun with this once again. I do find it hard to come up with all the neat stuff everybody else does but I kinda like my simple designs. I just don't know how to add all the extras yet.

We Three Stars SC211

I made this card in response to the challenge on splitcoast and this is the one that has started my addiction to the site. I love that there is a challenge almost everyday of the week. It makes stamping that much more fun along with meeting new people. I embossed on the Whisper White with red and embossed silver on the stars. I then used watercolor to paint my mice and flag. I really like how simple this one is but looks very fun.

Penny Spinner

Here is a card made witht the penny spinners. A long hole is punched with the window punch and the card decorated as you want it. Then you place a penny center in the whole on the inside and place a round dot on the penny through the whole and then peel the backing off the dot and place another penny to the dot. Then you place another dot on the outside penny. Then take the created item that you want to spin on the dot. The scalloped circle works really well decorated.

Cards From the Past

This card was made at a stamp camp with the newly retired unfrogettable stamp set and retired colors from stampin up. I really adore the technique that was used here and the stamps and color can always be changed. I really like the card it is almost like a pop up card. You fold the card like it is a long side open card, and then fold front back in half on top. The frog stands up off the wild wasabi when open. Only a little over a fourth of the rectangles are glued down.
Here are measurements.
Wild Wasabi is 11x4 1/4 folded at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4.
Purely Pomegranate rectangle 3x4
Groovy Guava rectangle 2 3/4 x 3 3/4
White rectangle 2 1/2 x 3 1/2
Inside Pattern 4 x 3 (glued toward the top of the inside)
Words Stamped on green Scallop Circle Punch
