Bookmark Swap

I had a wonderful time looking around my craft area before heading of to find paint chips for this bookmark swap that I am taking part in. It was fun coming up with a creative way to use the chips. We also couldn't purchase anything to make these so that made for all the fun in my ribbon and paper. I hope you all like them.

Curtain Call Callenge

I was surfing the blogs yesterday and found this awesome Curtain Call Challenge .
I was trying to find ideas for this wonderful easel card that I seen over the weekend and
decided to use this challenge to make one of several that I will be making over the next couple weeks. I love how easy they are to make yet look so complicated.

That Stamp-a-ma-jig

Well, I am preparing myself for surgery tomorrow on my knee and trying to get some cards ready to be made. I have been scouting splitcoaststampers for sketches and found a really nice one for a Mother's Day card. SC33 is the one that I used and I really like my final product. I was trying to be lazy and not get up from my comfy chair but realized I needed to and I'm so glad I did. See, I pulled the main supplies down and started measuring and cutting then stamping and putting my adhesive on things and realized that I couldn't be lazy; I had to get up.

In the picture above I finished the rich razzleberry card first and I really liked it except my stamped letters were not straight all. So, I got up and hobbled over to my bookcase and reached way high for that box I rarely use...it holds that stamp-a-ma-jig from Stampin Up. I also realized stampers do exercise. See, I had to stand up from a seated postion and go to a different part of the room, reach way above my head, walk back across the room and get back to that seated postion. LOL....stampers just trying to help give you an idea of how to squeeze in that little extra exercise. But, back to all seriousness I really do like the finished Bermuda Bay card much better because I took that extra few seconds to use the stamp-a-ma-jig. I now that a lot of people feel that it is too time consuming or too complicated, but after learning the proper technique (there are lots of you tube videos) it is better to use it then to let it sit way up on the top shelf or way on the bottom shelf in the back collecting dust.

If you don't have one and would like to purchase one you can visit my online store by following the link at the side.

In the cards I used Jayne's Type Alphabet stamp set, Bermuda Bay(ink, DSP, cardstock, and ribbon), Rich Razzleberry(ink,DSP, cardstock, and ribbon), and the stamp-a-ma-jig. All Items are Stampin' Up.

I hope you enjoyed this entry and I am hoping since I will be slowing way down I will have more posts. I already have a new idea from SC01 sketch so come and see my next adventure, maybe I will find a new form of exercise.
Until the next time,

Babies are precious!

One of the young ladies that I work with just had a baby girl and I decided to make her a card tonight to go along with her gift. I have seen the bib card around but can't remember where I had seen it first. I did add my own flair just copied the concept. I will post my early start on Christmas Cards a little later this week. I hope everyone is doing wonderful and enjoying the nice air condition with stamps during this hot summer. If you need more supplies check out the link to my online store. For the month of July Stampin Up is offering a deal of the week for the four weeks and this week is a special price on the scallop edge punch. The first person that goes to my online store and leaves me a comment here with the price will recieve some blog candy from me. If you place an order and leave me a comment you will recieve one of our retired stamp sets along with the blog candy....remember it's the first one to leave me the price of the scallop punch deal of the week!

Hope to be sending a package soon!
